Filicidal maniac

When she determined her daughters were possessed by demons, Banita Jacks killed them. All FOUR of them. Ok, allegedly.

The four bodies were discovered in her home in January 2008, when police arrived to deliver an eviction notice. They’d been dead and decaying in an upstairs bedroom for nearly SEVEN MONTHS.

Jacks, 35, told police that she did not kill the girls and that they died in their sleep “one at a time” over a 10-day period, charging documents said. Jacks said the girls were “possessed with demons” and referred to her oldest daughter, Brittany, as a Jezebel, the wicked biblical character. (WP)

American teens, killing for Mexican drug cartels

What’s sicker than Mexican drug cartels hiring teenage hitmen? Definitely the eyelid tattoos. I just threw up a little in my mouth.

So in addition to killing and/or terrorizing and/or torturing and/or beheading anyone who gets in the way, the cartels have also been employing KIDS as assassins. Rosalio Reta started when he was just 13.

The pay was pretty impressive — $500/week retainer + $50,000 and 2 kilos of cocaine for every hit. Nice work if you can get it? Maybe not.

Just hours before they were arrested, federal authorities taped a phone conversation between them in which Cardona brags about killing 14-year-old Inez Villareal and his cousin, a Cardona rival.

Cardona laughs as he describes torturing the two boys and dumping their bodies in large metal drums filled with diesel fuel. He says he made “guiso,” or stew, with their bodies. (CNN)

The LA Times puts drug-war-related deaths at 7,337 in the last two years.

Tuesday was “shooting rampage day” in Germany too

German teenager Tim Kretschmer shot and killed 9 students, 3 teachers, and 3 passers-by. He started the shooting at his former school, shooting most victims in the head.

As the first police arrived at the school, he fled and killed a person working in a hospital nearby, then hijacked a car, taking the driver hostage. (CNN)

He drove to a car dealership, where a final shoot-out with police left Kretschmer and two by-standers dead.

Hello, the Master Chief is supposed to DEFEND humanity…

Not kill his parents because they took away his toy. Waa waa. Way to go Daniel Petric. You should win douche of the week.

After Petric’s parents took away his Halo 3 game — which he would play for as long as 18 hours a day (not that there’s anything wrong with that) — he shot them both in the head. Amazingly (or not, maybe Petric was a shitty first-person-shooter as well), his father survived.

Mark Petric testified that his son came into the room and asked: “Would you guys close your eyes? I have a surprise for you.” He testified that he expected a pleasant surprise. Then his head went numb from the gunshot. (AP)

I’m betting there’s no XBOX in prison, kid.

Minnesotans hate old people

Now there are TWO Minnesota nursing homes with cases of aides sexually abusing patients. WTF people?!

In the newest case, only one female aide is accused. In addition to performing lap dances and baring her breasts, she physically and emotionally mistreated patients.

Other allegations of maltreatment included dropping a resident about four feet onto a bed, slapping a resident while calling her names including a racial slur, and emotionally tormenting a resident by throwing stuffed animals the woman believed to be her children on the floor. De.press.ing.

BBC has put together a timeline list of 28 violent murders of teenagers so far this year in London. Reading the circumstances of their deaths is totally depressing. Most died of stab wounds, and most are young black men. Some were killed for such trivial reasons as disagreeing over song lyrics, fighting about a cell phone, or no reason at all.

Who’ll shank J.R.?

There are so many things wrong with this story. The least of which, is why a 23 year-old man (Jeremy Steinke) was dating a 12 year-old girl (J.R.). Then, that she was able to convince him to kill her parents and 8 year-old brother. Talk about the Bad Seed. Not that I’m feeling too sympathetic towards Steinke.

More on his recent conviction from The Globe and Mail.

1, 2, 3 douchebags

Three worthless pieces of scum held a teenage boy captive for nearly a year and a half. They kept him chained at the ankles, and beat him with martial arts sticks, household objects, and a bat. They not only BEAT him with a bat, they SEARED him with a heated aluminum bat.

The kid was amazingly lucky to escape. Douchebag #1, his guardian and wielder of the heated aluminum bat, nervily said, “I’m glad he escaped and I hope he’s OK. I never wanted any of this to happen.” Well duh! Clearly she did everything she could to prevent him from being kidnapped, imprisoned, beaten and tortured.

Wave of mutilation

Back in the day, it was just innocent cutting and burning ourselves with lighters. Today’s troubled teens are victims of “self-embedding disorder”. There is finally a name for stabbing your pencil into your hand and breaking off the graphite tip. And really, who didn’t do that in grade school?

But to keep with the times — and these are sick times we’re living in — they’re embedding more than pencil tips. Unfolded paper clips, needles and glass are just a few of the items extracted from 10 teenage girls in Columbus, Ohio. Ow.
